Why do we need it?
What are we solving from it?
How are we doing it?
Last but not least, what is the impact?
Although the revamped Payments Tab is not live yet, we conducted early walkthroughs and usability sessions with a diverse group of sellers. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Sellers clearly expressed that the new design directly addresses their pain points, such as information overload, unclear breakdowns, and difficulty tracking actual payouts. Many mentioned that this was “exactly what they needed” and felt that the new layout made the platform feel more trustworthy and easier to navigate.
This strong qualitative validation confirmed that our redesign aligned well with seller expectations and business priorities.
The Seller Panel's Payments Tab had not been updated in nearly a decade, despite being one of the most critical touchpoints for our sellers. Over time, the interface became cluttered with outdated and overly complex data, such as unnecessary breakdowns like NCOD and COD splits. This created confusion for both new and experienced sellers, making it difficult for them to understand key financial insights.
As part of the product and UX team, I led the complete revamp of this section to simplify the experience, remove irrelevant data, and help sellers clearly track what matters most to them—when they get paid.
